Hola, mi nombre es Sarbelia Benedict. I have an M.A. in Political Science. My concentration in Urban Policy & Administration. Coming from an Ecuadorian immigrant family I have lived in two worlds all my life and dually as an American – North and South American. I hope to share my reflections and daily experiences as a young Latina woman living in dos mundos, all at the same time!

I am a Peruvian immigrant who also lives in several worlds. The lawyer, the Peruvian, the culturally white girl. I struggled with being too “American” for some members of my family and “ethnic” for some members of my firm. I read some of your columns and enjoyed them so much.
